Does anyone out there need to lose weight? Unfortunately, a lot of us do. I have set a goal to lose 30 pounds by Memorial Day. I think that is a doable goal (is doable a word?). My friend Amy and I decided that we needed some motivation to get started. The fear of being so heavy that we need to ride around Wal-Mart in a scooter to buy food should be motivation enough, but for some reason it isn't!!! I decided that I am tired of being tired all the time. I want more energy! I want to be able to play outside with my kids and enjoy myself!!! I want to play Wii Fit and not die of a heart attack racing that girl or not be out of breath dodging soccer balls!! I know, I have issues!!
I started working full-time in July last year and have gained 18 pounds since then. I know, that isn't an excuse, but this is......I eat out everyday for lunch and my exercise is nonexistant. I don't have the energy to exercise after eating junk food and sitting around all day.
I decided to start a new blog and use it as a daily-weekly food and exercise journal. It may be boring to some, but if it helps me to be accountable, I'm going to do it!
This is not a New Year's resolution. This just happens to be when I looked in the mirror and decided I couldn't bear to look like this anymore. My pants are too tight! My boobs are hanging out of my bra, (just keepin' it real). I can't take it anymore!!
I will start my journey tomorrow, January 4th!! Wish me luck!
